PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a molded article which is excellent in transparency, has a rapid and stable crystallization rate, is excellent in heat-resistant dimensional stability, and is prevented from emitting fluorescent light when irradiated with ultraviolet rays, in particular, a heat-resistant hollow molded article. It is possible to obtain a packaging material which is excellent in long-term continuous moldability which does not stain the mold and which has excellent flavor retention. A polyester comprising a polyester resin mainly composed of a terephthalic acid component and a glycol component and at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin resin, a polyamide resin and a polyacetal resin in an amount of 0.1 ppb to 3000 ppm. A polyester resin composition having a fluorescence emission intensity at 450 nm (B 0 ) of 20 or less in a fluorescence spectrum obtained when the polyester resin composition is irradiated with excitation light having a wavelength of 343 nm.
