titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for producing particles containing a lipophilic compound |
abstract | A particle containing a lipophilic compound having a narrow particle size distribution is provided by coating a droplet surface of a lipophilic compound which is unstable to water, light, oxygen and the like with a coating agent. SOLUTION: A gas in which starch is dispersed is introduced from an ejection port 3 provided on a side surface in a spray tower 1 to generate a spiral airflow in the spray tower 1. An emulsified dispersion in which fat-soluble vitamins are dispersed is sprayed from the nozzle 2 into the airflow to form coated particles in which the surface of the fat-soluble vitamins is coated with a coating agent. When a helical airflow is generated, the residence time of the emulsified dispersion and the coating material in the spray tower 1 becomes longer, so that substantially uniform coated particles can be formed. That is, unstable fat-soluble vitamins can be provided as coated particles having a narrow particle size distribution. [Selection] Fig. 2 |
