abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a high-efficiency lamp having white light having a correlated color temperature of 3500K to 5000K, an average color rendering index Ra of 90 or more, and a special color rendering index R9 of red having about 90 at the same time. The purpose is to: An arc tube having a pair of electrodes at both ends and made of a translucent ceramic in which a metal halide, mercury, and a buffer gas are sealed, and an outer tube having the arc tube built therein are provided. The metal halide comprises at least sodium halide, thallium halide, calcium halide and at least one rare earth halide, and the ratio of the calcium halide to the total amount of the metal halide is 55 mol% to 75 mol%.
