abstract | To provide an image forming material and an image forming method capable of providing an on-demand type DDCP, which can provide an image having an excellent hue by extending the range of reproducible hues. An image forming layer support sheet having at least a light-to-heat conversion layer and an intermediate layer on which an image forming layer is coated when performing image recording on a support, and the image forming layer to be coated. This corresponds to the on-demand method with the image forming layer coating solution. Further, by using a coating liquid for an image forming layer having a hue of a color difference (ΔE) ≦ 8 around a specific (L * 0 , a * 0 , b * 0 ) in the L * a * b * color system.
