abstract An object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and a method for producing hydroxyalkyl (meth) acrylate which can maintain high airtightness even if the number of maintenance of a discharge valve is reduced. An apparatus for producing hydroxyalkyl (meth) acrylate according to the present invention includes a reaction vessel for synthesizing hydroxyalkyl (meth) acrylate, and the contents of the reaction vessel are discharged into the reaction vessel. In the hydroxyalkyl (meth) acrylate production apparatus 1 provided with a discharge valve that is opened at the time, the discharge valve is the ball cock 5. In the method for producing a hydroxyalkyl (meth) acrylate of the present invention, the hydroxyalkyl (meth) acrylate is produced by the above-described apparatus 1 for producing a hydroxyalkyl (meth) acrylate.
