abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a method capable of producing galactose nucleotides in large quantities at low cost on an industrial scale. (A) A protein containing a specific amino acid sequence. (B) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acids in the amino acid sequence of (A) have been deleted, substituted, inserted or transposed, and which has an activity of converting UDP-Glc into UDP-Gal.
