titleOfInvention Novel nitrile hydratase
abstract The present invention binds to a cobalt atom via a region represented by a specific amino acid sequence Cys-Thr-Leu-Csi-Ser-Cse (Csi in the sequence represents cysteine sulfinic acid and Cse represents cysteine sulfenic acid). Provided is a cobalt mold containing the subunit as a constituent. A novel nitrile hydratase in which the 109th Thr residue of the α-subunit of the wild-type nitrile hydratase derived from Pseudonocardia thermophila JCM3095 strain is replaced with a Ser residue using a gene recombination technique.
