titleOfInvention | Rare earth magnet and method of manufacturing the same |
abstract | The present invention provides a rare earth magnet capable of suppressing dust generation and preventing occurrence of operation failure of mounted equipment, and a method of manufacturing the same. In a pre-immersion bath (20) containing an organic compound having sulfur, a step of immersing the rare earth magnet body (1) in a non-energized state is performed. A method of manufacturing a rare earth magnet having a step of forming a protective film 2 by performing an electrolytic plating process on the magnet is used. The growth of the protective film 2 is relatively promoted in the concave portion 1A rather than the convex portion 1B of the rare earth magnet element 1, and the growth process of the protective film 2 is controlled so as to be substantially flat as a whole. The surface roughness becomes 0.4 μm or less. In the protective film 2, the protrusions 2 </ b> B are less likely to be detached due to vibration, impact, and the like, and thus are less likely to be scattered as dust. [Selection] Fig. 2 |
