abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a danger that a door is suddenly opened in a state where nitrogen gas is filled in a sample chamber and an operator is short of oxygen when performing analysis by purging air in a sample chamber or an analysis chamber. . SOLUTION: At the time of idling other than the time of analysis, a spectroscope 12 is set so as to extract light having an absorption wavelength of oxygen gas, and an optical path switching unit 13 is set so as to select a reference side optical path Lr. In this state, a photometric value is repeatedly obtained, and the received light energy intensity is calculated and compared with a threshold. The air is expelled as the nitrogen gas for purging is filled in the sample chamber 20, so that the absorption by the oxygen gas decreases and the intensity of the received light energy increases. Therefore, when the value becomes equal to or larger than the threshold value, a display is made on the warning display unit 33 to notify that the nitrogen gas has filled the sample chamber 20. The operator can take measures such as carefully opening the door of the sample chamber 20 by looking at the display. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
