abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a refrigerator having a purifying mechanism that can easily perform a cleaning operation, has a semi-permanent replacement life, and can always produce pure ice free of maintenance. In a refrigerator having an ice making function of supplying water from a water supply tank storing ice making water to an ice tray, a purification mechanism for purifying water supplied to the ice tray is provided outside the water supply tank. This purifying mechanism is installed in a place where the user does not touch it during normal use of the refrigerator, and the purifying mechanism 14 is of a discharge type photocatalytic filter type.
