abstract An object of the present invention is to significantly improve the effect of reducing water in a water receiving tank or an elevated water tank of an apartment or the like, suppress corrosion of an iron water pipe in the apartment, greatly increase the service life, and prevent red water. A water quality improvement device in which tourmaline and a titanium oxide-based photocatalyst are filled as a water quality improvement material is immersed in a water receiving tank or an elevated water tank of a condominium or the like in a metal titanium hollow container having a large number of water permeable holes. Thus, the reduction effect on water in the water tank is increased by the synergistic action of the hollow container made of titanium metal, the tourmaline as a water quality improving material, and the titanium oxide-based photocatalyst, thereby solving the above problem.
