abstract | A novel polyvinyl alcohol polymer grafted with a polysaccharide, having excellent biodegradability, useful as a thickener, a gelling agent, a film-forming enhancer and an adhesive for cosmetics and industrial use, and an inexpensive polymer thereof. A manufacturing method is provided. An explosive dehydration is achieved by rapidly releasing a mixed composition of a polyvinyl alcohol polymer and a polysaccharide from a high-temperature and high-pressure state in which water entropy is extremely large to a normal pressure in the form of a thin film in the presence of water. A condensation reaction is caused, and a dehydration reaction of a hydroxyl group of the polysaccharide and the polyvinyl alcohol polymer, which is not usually caused, is caused. For example, in the presence of water and carbon dioxide gas, when the carbon dioxide gas is in a supercritical or subcritical state, the entropy of water and carbon dioxide gas is remarkably large, and the entropy of the gas is rapidly released to a normal pressure in a thin film form. A dehydration-condensation reaction is caused to cause a graft reaction of the polysaccharide to the hydroxyl group of the polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer. [Selection diagram] None |
