To correct digital images of different formats. An offset memory (2665) stores offset pixel values of a plurality of pixel positions constituting a detector panel. A subtractor (2620, 2640) subtracts the offset pixel value from the digital pixel data. A bit shifter unit (2625, 2645) shifts the subtraction result downward by a predetermined number of bits, and an adder (2630, 2650) adds the bit shift result to the offset pixel value. The corresponding memory location in the offset memory corresponding to the particular pixel location on the detector panel (116) is updated with the result of the addition. The digital image is corrected using the information in the offset memory. [Selection diagram] FIG. |
