titleOfInvention | Red light-emitting phosphor and thin-film electroluminescent device using the same |
abstract | In a phosphor for red light used in an electronic display, a red color purity is good and a wide color reproduction range can be secured. In particular, when used for an EL element of a flat display, each phosphor for each color light is used. Even if the phosphor is provided on the same substrate, cross-contamination of sulfide and oxide is prevented without complicating the manufacturing process. A red light-emitting phosphor is formed by using cerium as a light-emission center for a yttrium sulfide host. The red light from this phosphor is a red light that has a peak near 730 nm and is sufficiently saturated with color located at chromaticity coordinates (0.74, 0.26). In addition, a red light emitting phosphor is formed by using cerium as a light emission center for a base of yttrium zinc sulfide. The red light from this phosphor is a red light having a peak near 650 nm and having good color purity located at chromaticity coordinates (0.69, 0.30). [Selection diagram] Fig. 1 |
