Rotary joint arm for surgical tray |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable arm for a surgical tray which is connected to a surgical console, can be adjusted in height, and can rotate 360 degrees without limitation. The arm mechanism includes a movable wedge including a sloped recess cooperating with one end of a motion transmitting pin. Horizontal movement of the wedge causes vertical movement of the pins. The other end of the pin, opposite the wedge plate, activates a release mechanism that allows the arm on which the tray is mounted to be raised and lowered by the pressurized gas cylinder. Such a structure allows a full 360 degree rotation of the tray without affecting the arm release mechanism. [Selection] Fig. 2 |
