abstract | The present invention provides a photothermographic material excellent in surface properties and photographic performance during image formation of a photothermographic material, and an image forming method of the photothermographic material. A photothermographic material for use in a photothermographic system having a transport roller, the photothermographic material comprising a non-photosensitive layer, a photosensitive silver halide, and a non-photosensitive material on a support. An image forming layer containing an organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder, the non-photosensitive layer contains a sliding agent, and the transport roller is immersed in the sliding agent at 120 ° C. for 2 hours.
