abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for analyzing a mass spectrum suitable for a synthetic polymer or the like. A process of selecting a mass number range of a mass spectrum to be analyzed; determining the intensity of each peak included in the selected range based on the intensity of a mass number at which no peak should exist in the range. Baseline correction process of correcting; the mass number range of the entire baseline-corrected spectrum is divided at intervals of a constant mass number smaller than the range, and the mass number and intensity in each of the divided ranges are calculated. This is a mass spectrum analysis method including a classification process of converting each into a single representative value; and a process of normalizing the entire mass number distribution using the representative values of the intensities in the respective divided ranges.
