abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an olefin copolymer exhibiting excellent performance in compatibility with a polar resin such as nylon, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The constitutional unit derived from an ethylene (co) polymer having a vinyl or vinylidene type unsaturated bond at one terminal is 0.01 to 20 mol%, and the constitution is derived from a monomer represented by the general formula (I). An olefin copolymer having units of 80 to 99.99 mol%, Embedded image (Wherein T represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, Y represents a methyl group, an alkyl group containing a double bond, a halogen, an aromatic hydrocarbon group, a halogen-containing group, a nitrogen-containing group, or an oxygen-containing group.
