The present invention provides a compound effective for treating fibrosis or sclerosis, and further discloses a method for skin reconstruction or wound treatment and an artificial connective tissue. Further disclosed is a cell-based method for the identification and isolation of compounds that modulate the activity or expression of MMP and its use in methods of manufacturing anti-cancer drugs and anti-cancer drugs that support wound treatment.
