PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new use of glycine and to provide a hangover preventive and a hepatic dysfunction preventive containing glycine as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: An agent for preventing hangover and preventing hepatic dysfunction, which comprises glycine as an active ingredient for promoting alcohol metabolism and contains 100 mg or more of glycine when dissolved in 100 ml of water or 100 ml of an ethanol-containing beverage.
