titleOfInvention Solid oxide fuel cell
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a solid oxide fuel cell having improved gas utilization and high power generation efficiency. A fuel electrode layer (3) and an air electrode layer (4) are arranged on both surfaces of a solid electrolyte layer (2), and an anode current collector (6) made of a porous metal material is provided outside the fuel electrode layer (3) and the air electrode layer (4). An air electrode current collector 7 is disposed, a separator 8 is disposed outside the fuel electrode current collector 6 and the air electrode current collector 7, and these are adhered to each other to form a single cell. Then, at least on the air electrode side, a barrier 18 (protrusion 18 on the separator surface) that hinders the flow of gas in the lateral direction was provided. The projections 18 block the gas flowing in the lateral direction from the discharge holes of the separator 8, so that a boundary layer is not formed, and the gas permeates the porous metal efficiently.
