titleOfInvention | Silver halide photographic emulsion and photothermographic material |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a high silver iodide photographic emulsion that is highly sensitive to infrared light and has good storage stability, and further has high sensitivity, low Dmin, high Dmax, and processing. It is an object of the present invention to provide a photothermographic material excellent in the later photoimage storage stability. In a silver halide photographic emulsion containing 80 to 100 mol% of silver iodide and having a pAg of 5.0 to 2.0. 1) Spectral sensitization by at least one spectral sensitizing dye whose polarographic half-wave reduction potential is baser than -1.2V and polarographic half-wave oxidation potential is noble than 0.2V; 2) and has a sensitization maximum at a wavelength longer than 720 nm, 3) The sensitivity at the sensitized maximum wavelength is at least 5 times the sensitivity to light having a wavelength 30 nm longer than the sensitized maximum wavelength, 4) A silver halide photographic emulsion characterized by being at least twice as sensitive to light having a wavelength shorter by 30 nm than the sensitized maximum wavelength. A photothermographic material using this emulsion. [Selection figure] None |
