titleOfInvention | Evaluation method of intermediate transfer member, intermediate transfer member, and image forming apparatus |
abstract | An evaluation method for evaluating whether or not an additive added to a transfer material is difficult to be fixed on the surface of an intermediate transfer body, an intermediate transfer body with which the additive is hardly fixed, and damages on a surface of an image carrier. An image forming apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of an abnormal image is provided. A surface roughness of an intermediate transfer belt is measured by Surfcom 1400A (registered trademark) at 8,192 (N) intervals at 2500/8192 [μm] (Δt) intervals in the belt surface movement direction. A discrete Fourier transform is performed on these data groups in accordance with Equation 11 described in Means for Solving the Problems. Further, I (S) is derived from Equations 12 and 13 described above. The intermediate transfer belt whose I (S) is in the range of 5 × 10 −3 to 35 × 10 −3 is defined as “good”, and the intermediate transfer belt out of the range is defined as “bad”. Then, the intermediate transfer belt determined to be “good” is used in an actual image forming apparatus. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1 |
