abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ethylene-α-olefin-non-conjugated diene copolymer rubber excellent in balance between a residual compressive stress rate which is an index of shape retention characteristics and a BIT which is an index of kneading properties. SOLUTION: The ratio Az / An between the Z-average molecular chain length (Az) and the number average molecular chain length (An) is in the range of 20 to 30, and the ratio Aw / An between the weight average molecular chain length (Aw) and An. An is greater than 5 and has a unimodal or bimodal molecular weight distribution structure having the most abundant molecular chain length component in the range of 3.8 <Log Aw <4.5, and is measured by an ML viscometer. A method for producing an ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber having a viscosity in the range of 60 <ML 1 + 4 , 121 ° C. <160, comprising a polymerization catalyst containing a vanadium compound and an organometallic compound, or cyclopentadienyl.
