abstract A novel inorganic / organic nanocomposite and a method for producing the same are provided. SOLUTION: A mixture of an alkylamine having 5 or less carbon atoms and an alkylamine having 6 or more carbon atoms is acted on potassium tetratitanate fiber, and the alkylamine having 6 or more carbon atoms is intercalated between layers by an ion exchange reaction. This is characterized by preparing tetratitanic acid and reacting it with an alkyltrialkoxysilane to alkylsilyl the crystal surface between the layers to produce an alkylsilylated complex of layered tetratitanate.
