titleOfInvention Crystal modification of n-butyl 4- (3- (p-toluenesulfonyl) ureido) benzoate, a developer for thermal recording medium
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a novel crystal modification of a developer for a thermosensitive recording medium having a high stability of an aqueous dispersion. SOLUTION: The following structural formula (I) Embedded image N-butyl 4- (3- (p-toluenesulfonyl) ureido) benzoate represented by the following formula, and in the X-ray diffraction diagram thereof, the diffraction angle (2θ) by Cu-Kα ray is 5.90 °. A crystal modification having a crystal form I showing a strong peak and showing intermediate peaks at 18.15 ° and 25.60 °, a strong peak at 6.9 ° and 14.90 ° and 19. A crystalline modification having a crystalline form II with an intermediate intensity peak at 50 °. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
