An antitumor pharmaceutical composition comprising a vanillyl fatty acid amide represented by the following chemical formula (1): Embedded image (In the formula, the —CO—R group is a saturated fatty acid residue having 14 to 32 carbon atoms, or an unsaturated fatty acid residue having 14 to 32 carbon atoms).
