abstract Provided is a method for producing a toner capable of obtaining colored resin fine particles having a sharp particle size distribution and capable of greatly reducing the amount of deposits on the inner wall of a stirring tank distillation apparatus. An aqueous medium is added to a coloring liquid in which a water-insoluble resin and a coloring agent are dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent to form an aqueous dispersion in which fine particles of the coloring liquid are dispersed. Is removed by a distillation apparatus to produce colored resin fine particles. The stirring tank distillation device is disposed on the stirring shaft 3 such that the lower opening 11 of the liquid ejection device is in the aqueous dispersion and the upper opening 12 is on the aqueous dispersion, and the stirring shaft 3 rotates. Thus, the aqueous dispersion is raised from the lower opening 11 and is ejected from the upper opening 12 to be sprayed on the peripheral wall of the distillation apparatus. [Selection] Fig. 2
