abstract | 【Task】 In order to minimize the cost, the amount of the organic phosphorus compound in the thermoplastic resin composition is reduced while maintaining the effect of imparting appropriate flame retardancy. [Solution] The flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition comprises a polyphenylene ether resin, a high-impact polystyrene resin or a thermoplastic resin composed of an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin, and an organic phosphoric acid in an amount of about 20 parts by weight or less per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin. It comprises an ester compound and a polyhydric alcohol compound in an amount of about 0.5 to about 5.0 parts per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin. A method for producing the thermoplastic resin composition is also disclosed. The thermoplastic composition provides effective flame retardancy while exhibiting high flow properties and improved impact strength. [Selection diagram] None |
