abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing amidines and amide oximes, which are important intermediates in the synthesis of color photographic couplers, in a simple and high yield. Kind Code: A1 Amidines of the general formula (2) using the following synthesis method (1) thioamides of the general formula (1). (2) Amidooximes of the general formula (3) using the amidines of the general formula (2). (3) Amidines of the general formula (2) wherein a compound of the general formula (4) is reacted with an aminopyrazole of the general formula (5). (4) Amidines of the general formula (7) using thioamides of the general formula (6).
