titleOfInvention | Method for producing activated carbon using chlorine-containing thermoplastic resin |
abstract | The present invention provides a method for producing activated carbon having a high specific surface area from a chlorine-containing thermoplastic resin represented by PVC. The method for producing activated carbon of the present invention uses a chlorine-containing thermoplastic resin having a dechlorination rate of 90% or more as a raw material, and converts the chlorine-containing thermoplastic resin into an oxidizing gas atmosphere. Oxidation step of oxidizing by heating and holding in, the oxidized chlorine-containing thermoplastic resin, by heating and holding in an inert gas atmosphere, carbonization step of obtaining a carbide, mixing the carbide and activator, It is characterized in that the treatment is performed in the order of an alkali activation step of obtaining an activated carbon by heating in an inert gas atmosphere.
