abstract | An adhesive and a bonding method that do not cause rust on an adherend such as a steel plate, have a high adhesive strength, and reduce labor and cost required for adhesion of the adherend. SOLUTION: 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin, 8 parts by weight of dicyandiamide, 30 parts by weight of core / shell type acrylic particles, 50 parts by weight of silica powder having an average particle size of 15 μm, and 0.5 parts by weight of a heat-expandable balloon. The resulting composition was placed in a kneader and stirred at room temperature until uniformly mixed to produce a structural epoxy adhesive composition. Next, the adhesive composition was applied to one surface of the steel plate 3 along the longitudinal direction of the steel plate 3 in a bead shape of 5φ from end to end, bonded to the center of the steel plate 1, and spot-welded at three places. .
