titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing the same |
abstract | A spacer is formed in a region other than a pixel portion, and the two substrates are firmly adhered to each other by the spacer, whereby a gap between the substrates in an effective display region is kept uniform and constant, and contrast and contrast are improved. Provided is a liquid crystal display device having excellent response speed uniformity and good display quality. At least one of the substrates has a transparent electrode, a spacer is arranged in a gap between a pair of substrates arranged at a predetermined interval so that the respective substrates face each other, and a liquid crystal is sealed. In a liquid crystal display device in which the opposing substrates at the peripheral portion are sealed with a resin, the spacer is made of a cured product containing a mixture of a positive photosensitive composition containing polysilane and a silicone compound.
