titleOfInvention Thermal expansion microcapsules
abstract The present invention provides a heat-expandable microcapsule capable of foaming in a wide temperature range and a composition containing the heat-expandable microcapsule capable of foaming in a wide temperature range. A thermally expandable microcapsule containing a volatile expander that becomes gaseous at a temperature equal to or lower than the softening point of the shell polymer, wherein the shell polymer is obtained from a monomer component containing at least 70% by weight of a nitrile monomer. The ratio of acrylonitrile in the system monomer is 40 to 85%, and the ratio of the volatile expanding agent having a branched or cyclic structure among the volatile expanding agents is 30% or more.
