titleOfInvention | Method for producing 4-t-butylcyclohexyl acetate |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method capable of producing 4-t-butylcyclohexyl acetate having a high cis content useful as a fragrance under mild conditions. SOLUTION: In the presence of a rhodium catalyst having a metal rhodium or rhodium compound supported on a carrier and a solvent, 0.05 to 10 mol of 4-t-butylphenol is added to 1 mol of rhodium atoms in the rhodium catalyst. After hydrogenation in the presence of hydrogen chloride to obtain 4-t-butylcyclohexanol, 4-t-butylcyclohexyl acetate is obtained by acetylating the obtained 4-t-butylcyclohexanol. To manufacture.
