abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose that conventional polymer flocculants do not have sufficient solubility in water and salt water and, even though they have a high molecular weight, have a wide molecular weight distribution. The present invention provides a polymer flocculant having excellent solubility in water and salt water and exhibiting an excellent flocculating effect even at a low addition amount because of a problem in its effect. SOLUTION: A polymer flocculant comprising a water-soluble vinyl polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer containing (meth) acrylamide as an essential component in the presence of two or more kinds of specific chain transfer agents for radical polymerization.
