titleOfInvention | Phase plate production method and phase plate produced by the method |
abstract | Provided is a method capable of easily and cost-effectively producing a retardation plate with high liquid crystal alignment accuracy and few alignment defects. A method of manufacturing a phase difference plate having a long roll-shaped transparent support and an optically anisotropic layer composed of two or more liquid crystalline compounds on one side thereof, wherein the support is continuously moved. Applying an alignment film, (a) rubbing the surface of the support on which the alignment film is formed, (b) applying a composition containing a liquid crystal compound to the rubbed surface, and (c) step ( (b) Steps (a) to (c) are repeated at least once without winding up the support, and (e) the support. It is a manufacturing method including the above steps for winding a body. [Selection figure] None |
