abstract The present invention provides a yellow color developing type diazo heat-sensitive recording material having improved storability (raw storability) of the background before recording and excellent color development. In a thermosensitive recording material, a thermosensitive recording layer comprising a diazo compound and a coupler compound that reacts with the diazo compound and develops color is provided on a support. A heat-sensitive recording material comprising, as the coupler compound, at least one of an anilide derivative represented by the following general formula (1) or a tautomer thereof. R 2 , R 3 and R 4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an acyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a hydroxy group. A carbonyl group, an aminocarbonyl group, an acylamino group, a cyano group, a nitro group, an arylthio group or an alkylthio group, L represents a group capable of leaving when coupled with a diazo compound, and m represents 1 or 2.
