titleOfInvention Radiation position detector and radiation position detection method
abstract Provided is a radiation position detector capable of obtaining a radiation incident position and a radiation image with high accuracy while significantly reducing costs with a simple structure. A radiation position detector (10) has a rectangular parallelepiped shape, has a pair of electrodes (2a, 2b) opposed to each other, and generates two types of charge carriers (4a, 4b) having different polarities upon incidence of radiation (3). The wave height of the output waveform of the charge-sensitive preamplifier due to the element 1, the charge-sensitive preamplifier 5 connected to the semiconductor detection element, and the two kinds of charge carriers generated by the radiation incident on the semiconductor detection element is as follows. The apparatus includes a pulse rise time measuring means 7 for measuring a pulse rise time at a peak, and an incident position calculating means 8 for calculating an incident position of radiation from the pulse rise time.
