abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefin-based graft copolymer exhibiting a high effect when used as a compatibilizer or the like. For example, in a method for producing an olefin-based graft copolymer comprising an α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms and a polyene, a graft comprising at least the following polymerization step [I], washing step and polymerization step [II]: This is a method for producing a copolymer. Polymerization Step [I]: For example, using an (A) catalyst component containing a titanium trichloride compound as an essential component and (B) a catalyst comprising an organoaluminum compound, copolymerizing an α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms and a polyene. A step of producing an olefin polymer by polymerization. Washing step: a step of removing the polyene from the reaction mixture of the olefin polymer obtained in the polymerization step [I]. Polymerization step [II]: a step of polymerizing, for example, an α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms in the presence of the olefin polymer having undergone the washing step.
