abstract [Object] To provide a method for producing acrylamidoalkanesulfonic acid, which can efficiently obtain acrylamidoalkanesulfonic acid having high purity and excellent polymerizability with simple equipment, steps and operations. The present invention relates to a solution of crude acrylamide alkanesulfonic acid or a salt thereof, specifically, acrylamide alkanesulfonic acid or 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid obtained by addition reaction of acrylonitrile, sulfuric acid, and olefin. In this method, the resulting salt solution is brought into contact with an anion exchange resin. [Selection diagram] None.
