titleOfInvention | Surface-porous calcium carbonate powder, method for producing the same, and slurry comprising the same |
abstract | The present invention provides a surface-porous calcium carbonate powder having high purity and high affinity for water, and a low-viscosity water-containing slurry comprising the same. SOLUTION: A coating layer made of a calcium salt of carboxylic acid is formed on the surface of a raw material calcium carbonate powder and then heat-treated to obtain a surface porous calcium carbonate powder. The surface porous calcium carbonate powder has an improved affinity between the powder and the water because the surface of the central portion made of calcium carbonate is covered with a coating layer made of porous calcium carbonate. The viscosity of the water-containing slurry can be reduced. [Selection diagram] Fig. 4 |
