abstract Provided are a method for easily producing an indium-containing aqueous solution with reduced metal impurities from an aqueous solution containing indium and metal impurities, and a simple method for reducing metal impurities in an indium-containing aqueous solution. A raw aqueous solution containing indium and metal impurities and having a hydrogen ion concentration in the range of 1 mol / L to 12 mol / L is prepared by using an anion exchange resin having a tertiary amino group as an exchange group. A method for producing an indium-containing aqueous solution with reduced metal impurities to be brought into contact. An indium-containing solution in which an aqueous solution containing indium and metal impurities and having a hydrogen ion concentration in the range of 1 mol / L to 12 mol / L is contacted with an anion exchange resin having a tertiary amino group as an exchange group.
