titleOfInvention Consumable units, equipment, and printers
abstract A printer capable of continuous printing for a long time by using a fuel cell even in a place where commercial power cannot be obtained such as in a train. A printer that has a built-in fuel cell that generates power upon receiving liquid fuel supply, that is loaded with an ink cartridge containing ink, and that records an image on the recording medium by ejecting the ink toward the recording medium. The ink cartridge 10 has a liquid fuel storage section for storing ink and a water storage section for storing water and a water storage section for storing water. The fuel cell 20 is supplied with liquid fuel and discharges water. And a fuel supply path 21 for supplying the liquid fuel stored in the liquid fuel storage section to the fuel electrode, and a water supply path 24 for sending water discharged from the air electrode to the water storage section.
