abstract Provided is a method for culturing microorganisms which does not generate bubbles even without using an antifoaming agent, and as a result, does not cause a decrease in productivity due to loss of products and microorganisms due to spilling of a culture solution from a culture vessel. A method for culturing a microorganism, comprising disposing an oxygen-permeable tube in a culture solution containing the microorganism, and culturing the microorganism while passing a gas containing oxygen through the tube. [Effect] The decrease in productivity due to the loss of products and microorganisms by spilling the culture solution from the culture vessel is eliminated. Further, since there is no need to use an antifoaming agent, the product is not contaminated. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
