abstract | In a nitrogen-containing water treatment apparatus using an adsorbent and ozone, generation of harmful substances and environmental pollution caused by excessive administration of an oxidizing agent are surely prevented. SOLUTION: Raw water containing nitrogen is introduced into an adsorption tank 1 filled with zeolite 2, and only a nitrogen component is adsorbed on zeolite 2, and a solution containing hypobromous acid or hypochlorous acid is introduced into the adsorption tank. In the nitrogen-containing treatment apparatus which decomposes and removes nitrogen adsorbed on zeolite 2 by hypobromite or hypochlorous acid, the amount of ozone injected into the O 3 reaction tower 14 is determined based on the measurement data of the sodium concentration of the denitrifying liquid.
