abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a pitch adhesion inhibitor capable of suppressing and preferably preventing obstacles that may be caused by pitch in the papermaking process of various papers such as pulp and paper. SOLUTION: A monomer mixture containing (A) a cationic monomer, (B) an anionic monomer and (C) a monomer having a polyoxyalkylene group and an ethylenic double bond is subjected to radical polymerization. (A) the cationic monomer is a monomer having an amino group or an ammonium base and an ethylenic double bond, and (B) ) Anionic monomers include a monomer having a carboxyl group or a carboxyl base and an ethylenic double bond, a monomer having a sulfonic acid group or a sulfonate group and an ethylenic double bond, and a phosphoric acid group or a phosphoric acid.
