abstract | To stabilize a menthyl lactate ester without adding an inorganic salt. A menthyl lactate ester compact having at least 80% (m / m) lactate content in the compact. The molded product (compact) formed by pressing the menthyl lactate ester is stable for a long storage period (at least 6 months) and does not change from a sensory point of view, the acid number of the pressed menthyl lactate ester during this storage period does not change. The compact can have various shapes. The most common shapes are spheres, cubes, cuboids, cushions, cylinders, tablets, pellets or briquettes, with pellets being the preferred shape.
