PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a mammal suffering from an immunological disease, particularly an autoimmune disease, most preferably systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The method includes the oral administration of germinated activated spores of Ganoderma ludicum (GLSs) to a mammal. Preferred dosages of GLSs are about 1-20 g per person per day, most preferably 3-12 g per person per day. In addition, a corticosteroid such as prednisolone can be co-administered to the mammal with GLSs to enhance the synergistic effect of the treatment. The corticosteroid hormone can be administered orally, topically (solution, cream, lotion, ointment, etc.) or by injection. A preferred corticosteroid is prednisolone, which is preferably administered orally to a patient. [Selection diagram] None |
