abstract | Provided is a lithographic printing plate precursor having excellent printing durability, excellent developability in an alkaline developer, excellent printing smudgeability, and excellent solvent solubility. In particular, it is to provide a lithographic printing plate precursor having a large printing durability even when printing using UV ink is performed. A lithographic printing plate precursor having a photosensitive layer containing (A) an infrared absorbing dye, (B) a novolac resin, and (C) an acrylic resin on a support, (C) the acrylic resin is insoluble in water but soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution, and (a) at least one functional group selected from a phenolic hydroxyl group, a sulfonamide group, and an active imide group; and (b) Having a carboxylic acid group in the same molecule, the copolymerization ratio of the monomer corresponding to the repeating unit having the functional group (a) is not less than 15 mol% and not more than 60 mol%, and has the functional group (b) A lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a copolymerization ratio of a monomer corresponding to a repeating unit of 2 mol% or more and 20 mol% or less.
